Keith Brideau
President & CEO
Keith Brideau is not afraid to tackle big projects. He saw a niche in the Saint John market for the redevelopment of older buildings and, since establishing Historica with an investment partner in 2008, has renovated several major properties around Uptown Saint John into modern upscale suites surrounded by unique restaurants and shops, a combination that makes people want to live uptown again.
Keith grew up in the Old North End of Saint John, obtained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of New Brunswick, and a Diploma in Technology, Management & Entrepreneurship. Prior to finding his passion in real estate, he specialized in Enterprise Risk Management and obtained his Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Information Systems Security Professional designations.
He is an award winning entrepreneur & developer who has been incredibly instrumental in Uptown Saint John’s renaissance – having spent many years rebuilding some of Saint John’s greatest historical assets. He continues to attract numerous people and businesses to the city centre. He’s extremely focused and has a real passion for business. He is also an alumnist of New Brunswick’s 21 Leaders Program and the Wallace McCain Insititute.
Margot Brideau
Interior Design & HR
Margot has been involved with Historica since it was a glimmer of hope in Keith’s eye. Growing up in Quispamsis, she moved Uptown in 2006 and can’t imagine living anywhere else ever again.With a background in Finance, Admin and HR, she complemented her husband, Keith, in building Historica to its full potential.
For the first couple of years it was just she and Keith in the office so she had a chance to be “Jack of all trades” and really immerse in all property development and management had to offer. As the company grew, she chose to focus on the area she enjoyed the most, payroll & HR as well as her absolute favorite, design for interior and exterior of Historica projects.
Margot has many things that keep her busy in her spare time as well. She’s extremely family oriented loves spending time with her two daughters, Lauren and Ava and of course, Keith. She’s also a huge animal lover and she and Keith have 4 dogs (you can often see them out walking Uptown), 2 cats and a horse (who unfortunately can’t live Uptown or you’d see him out walking also). Travelling is another passion and the bucket list of destinations is never ending. She also enjoys the gym and is in dance as well.
Margot has a true passion for Uptown and is truly dedicated to helping Keith and Historica make Uptown Saint John the best place to live in Atlantic Canada.
Walter Brideau
Purchasing Manager
Walter has been with Historica since day one, working alongside his son Keith. He is responsible for purchasing all of our tools and supplies. He can usually be found driving all over town. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Joy, and seeing his grandchildren.
Kim Harrity
Property Manager
Kim studied Hospitality, Tourism & Business at NBCC St. Andrews. This led Kim into the Hotel & culinary world. Kim loved the adventures each day brought with the food industry and the people she met while doing catering and larger events. This is how Kim had first met Keith & Margot. Not knowing they ran Historica.
Kim started at Historica in 2016 as a cleaner and quickly moved up within the company. After maternity leave, Kim came back into a role as, Cleaning and Painting Supervisor. Kim was recently promoted to Property Manager in March 2022.
Kim loves working for Historica because the company is always growing which provides new opportunities and new challenges. Kim has grown so much with the company over time, and this is another reason she loves being with the company.
When not immersed in her work, Kim enjoys spending her downtime with her husband, little girl Kallie and visiting her family in Sussex.
Tiffany Slaney
Leasing/ Project Coordinator
Tiffany started with Historica in 2017. Tiffany started as one of our painters and has made her way to the leasing coordinator in March 2022.
Her favorite part about working with Historica is the people that she gets to meet. Tiffany loves showing everyone all the beautiful features the buildings, units, and Uptown SJ has to offer. You can see Tiffany in our buildings with a bright smile that lights up the room.
When she's not working, she loves spending time with her husband Andrew & kids Kylie and Tristan.
Kalsey Elliot
Property Administrator
Kalsey graduated from the Administrative Professional Executive program at NBCC in January of 2020. She first joined our team on a work placement for her program and has been with Historica since! Kalsey started with the company as our receptionist but quickly transitioned into our accounting team now managing accounts payable and purchasing. She loves working at Historica because the company is always growing, providing new challenges and opportunities!
Gordie Hooper
Maintenance Supervisor
Gordie started with Historica in 2018. Gordie started on the renovation team and made his way to Maintenance Supervisor soon after.
Gordie’s favorite part of working for Historica is all the tenants and people that he meets along the way. He can be found uptown in the white Historica van driving supplies to the team and managing all the maintenance staff and contractors.
When Gordie is not working, he enjoys having downtime with his family and friends.
